Maxi-Cosi (Bebeconfort)
Titan Plus i-Size
Not recommended by Associação Criança Segura
This seat uses a harness when forward-facing. We do not recommend this: in a frontal crash the harness holds the torso back and concentrates the forces on the child's neck, which greatly increases the risk of serious injury. Forward-facing, the child should travel restrained by the car's own seat belt; the harness should only be used rear-facing.

Safety and certifications
The Plus Test is voluntary and paid for by the brand. This seat has not taken it yet, so the neck loads in a 56 km/h frontal crash remain unmeasured.
What is the Plus TestProtection measured in frontal and side impacts. On the ADAC scale, lower is better.
An average that combines safety with handling, ergonomics and harmful substances. A seat that is demanding to install scores lower here even with good protection, so read the safety score first.

About this seat
The Maxi-Cosi (Bebeconfort) Titan Plus i-Size is a rear- and forward-facing car seat approved under R129.
It installs with ISOFIX or the car's 3-point belt.
It has not been through the Swedish Plus Test, the only test that measures the forces on a young child's neck in a frontal crash.
ADAC gave it a safety score of 2.5 (good). On the ADAC scale, lower is better.
Associação Criança Segura recommends keeping children rear-facing for as long as possible, ideally up to 125 cm, and using a harness only when rear-facing.
